It was never our intention for Jess to stay at Best Buy wearing a clip-on tie for any amount of years...
This morning we heard a sermon about money and finances, which, funny enough, talked a bit about using the talents God has given us and not "burying" the talents we have, just to stay in the clear or stay safe.
(This from the parable of talents, where the first guy gets 10 years wages at once, digs a hole in the ground somewhere, and hides it. He, unlike the guys that go and use what they were given and gain more, doesn't get anywhere.)
Jess has come up with a business idea that we'd like to share with you.
It requires a bit of startup - which is what the photo above is showing...
Jess has been accepted for a 3 year, $10,000 loan on a peer-to-peer lending site called The Lending Club.
For more on how that works, see their website here.
Now a word from Jess:
I grew up in the world of youth sports, and if there's one thing I regret, it's this: we have no proof!
Rarely did I see a professional photographer or anyone with more than a point-and-shoot camera. It's understandable -even the occasional shot by Mom was hard to get - we were far away, moving too fast, the light was too dim, or we simply needed her there by us. Be it fencing, cycling, track, soccer, basketball, or bowling...
Jumpshot Photography is my answer to these missed memories - I want to take the skills and knowledge that I have, grab some top of the line equipment, and shoot what everyone else is missing.
Whether we stay here in NH or wherever life may send us, there will always be kids playing games.
With the help of a startup loan, it's my goal to start my own photography business, pay off school loans, and be able to slowly wean off the clip-on tie...
As you can see, we have a way to go to get the full funding needed.
If you or someone you know is interested in peer-lending, we'd love to have your support.
Email us at romiicyy @ gmail or just sign up for The Lending Club.
Either way, we wanted you to know what we're up to
and what's in our plans.
- Eric and Jess
