flashbacks?
We've changed... we're no longer in NH, and there's soon to be 3 of us! So in honor of the incoming kiddo, we've changed our blog (note the new address!) and put up a few "kid" pictures for you to enjoy.

The cat's a cheese!
Engine has settled well here, enjoying the screened in porch. His only complaint is that the geckos are on the outside!
Engine has been our little ham, posing away while Jess practices with her camera.

A few more shots from the road.
Jess grew a little bit (yes, dad, I grusome) while in NJ... this, we are certain, was thanks to Bapci and Djiadji overfeeding the 1.5 of me (not to mention all the fresh tomatoes that I was forced to consume...) We're at 16 weeks now!
A farm stand in NJ with a funny name...
And a quick lunch stop while driving through NC...
I think what they said was "barbeque sandwich with slaw and a side of taters"... it tasted good!
Our New Place
Engine getting comfy in the again empty boxes (he doesn't know he's "food").
Our kitchen and laundry room (and Engine, again).
Living room and enclosed porch, which Engine likes access to every morning at 7:30, thank you. It's hot out there but it stays nice and cool inside with central air and ceiling fans.
Hallway pantry.
We still have to finish sorting the clothes and hanging pictures, we'll post more pictures later. We're really enjoying it here - though mostly we've been jobsearching and getting all the moving busywork out of the way (licensing, mail, finding doctors... all that fun stuff).
We're planning to check out a local church this Sunday and then head to the beach if the weather is nice. We'll keep you updated! Thanks to all who made this move a breeze for both of us.

The Flood
This is Bapci & Djiadji's (Jess' grandparents) driveway. The river, which seemed almost low the day before, swelled in just a few hours to cover roads, driveways, and highways in the area. Aunt Laura and I (Jess) walked down to take a look. It was amazing to hear the roar of the water and the crack of trees. Thankfully, the storms did not return that night as was expected, and the roads began to clear... but all through Clinton (the nearby town) you could see the results of the water damage and there were still firetrucks everywhere helping with the clean up.
Aunt Laura, walking on the bike path which usually sits high above the side of the driveway.
Just over the bridge the water took over again. An amazing sight.
Megan's Shower Th
Along the way to FL, Jess stayed in NJ for Megan's bridal shower - a small family affair made smaller by the actual "showers" we got... more on that later. We enjoyed a great meal and some fun games to wish Megan all the best on her upcoming marriage.
These cows are part of her dowery.
Just kidding. Djiadji (Jess' grandfather) is teaching them to come when called so that he can easily transfer them to a different pasture. Naturally, they're hams... well... beef actually...
