Lily, 14 months
What poise and grace, and how beautiful your smiles! You are so confident on your feet - climbing, running, dancing, climbing some more... you love to move and you do so with great balance and skill, as if it is effortless for you. You are so excited to be able to go when you want and stop when you want, and you don't want to stop. We understand.
You have been cuddly this month, probably in part to those molars working their way in... and maybe in part because you do so well on your own, that every once in a while you want to come running back and make sure that we are still here for you. And we are.
You love your friends and have taken to hugging them with your whole little self, and sometimes kissing them too. You kiss us too, and offer us your food (though usually just to pretend, and you pull it away and laugh), and climb into our bed and lay your head down and show us how you sleep - but you're back up and going the very next second.
You know so many words that it's getting hard to keep track, and you are using your signs often and with such purpose. We are very proud of you, and we love watching you change and grow.
Happy 14 months, Lily Grayce. We're going to snuggle up next to you now and sleep holding you close, because this moment is far too fleeting, and you are getting big oh so fast.
