Lily brought me a seed she found in her bowl of melon.
Lily: "Momma!"
Me: "Oh, yes, that's a seed. We don't eat it. It's hard. I wouldn't taste good."
Lily: "Seeeeed."
Me: "Yes, a seed, we don't eat it. Did you eat it?"
Lily: "Eeeeat. Seeeed."
Me: "Yes, a seed. We don't eat it, we plant seeds to help grow more melons. Only, it requires other things, like sun, dirt, water..."
Lily: "Eeeeat. Dirt!"
